$54B South Korean Investment Boosts Stalled Alaska LNG Project

President Donald Trump is set to announce a significant investment from South Korea in various U.S. projects, with the largest commitment being $54 billion toward the long-stalled Alaska LNG project.

The announcement represents the initial deployment of capital under a bilateral trade pact established last year, which committed Seoul to investing $350 billion in total U.S. investments.

The Alaska LNG project aims to transport natural gas across an 800-mile pipeline from Alaska's North Slope to the state's southern coast for export to Asian markets.
