$6 Corn Could Be Within Reach by 2027 Amid Tightening Supplies
The U.S. corn market is facing pressure from tightening stocks and harsh summer weather that reduced yield potential in parts of the Midwest.
The stocks-to-use ratio has moved towards a five-year low below 10%, and December futures traded near $5.32 per bushel overnight as the expanding harvest applied short-term pressure.
However, the tightening supply cushion could strengthen farmers' pricing leverage after harvest and put $6 corn within reach in 2027, even with substantially higher fuel costs and uncertain early yield results.
