AC Prices Set to Soar as Daikin, Blue Star Raise Costs Amid Rising Production Expenses

AC prices are expected to rise by 5-8% due to increased production costs, affecting brands like Daikin and Blue Star. Daikin has already raised prices by 8-10% from September 16, citing rising copper prices, a stronger dollar, and costlier materials.

Blue Star has also increased AC and deep freezer prices by 5-8%, attributing the rise to the US-Iran war, which has led to higher costs for copper, steel, and plastics.

Other brands like Haier, LG, Bosch Home Comfort (Hitachi-branded ACs), and Panasonic are expected to follow suit. Haier plans a 15% price increase between now and January if production costs continue to rise.
