Adequate Petrol and Diesel Stocks Available Across India
The Indian government has assured that there are adequate stocks of petrol and diesel at all petrol pumps across the country. The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has reduced excise duty on petrol and diesel by 10 rupees per litre to support consumers.
Export duty has also been imposed on aviation turbine fuel to ensure domestic availability, while domestic LPG supply remains normal with over 55 lakh cylinders delivered daily. Commercial LPG supply has reached about 70% of pre-crisis levels.
The ministry informed that gas supply to urea plants is now steady at around 70-75% of their average consumption over the past six months, and additional LNG and RLNG supplies are being sourced to maintain supply levels.
