Gold Prices Soar to New Heights in Delhi Amid Cautious Investor Sentiment
Gold prices rose by Rs 1,400 to nearly Rs 1.61 lakh per 10 grams in Delhi on Friday, marking the second consecutive day of increase.
The price of gold with 99.9% purity climbed from Thursday's closing level of Rs 1,59,500 per 10 grams to Rs 1,60,900 per 10 grams (inclusive of all taxes), according to local traders.
Silver prices remained unchanged at Rs 2,40,500 per kilogram, following a correction of over 40% from its January peak of above Rs 4 lakh per kg.
Traders cited firm buying interest in the domestic bullion market as the reason for gold's rise, despite investors turning cautious ahead of key global economic data releases that could influence interest rates and precious metal outlooks.
