ADNOC and Gulf Group expand LNG supply deal for Asian market
ADNOC has secured a new long-term deal to supply liquefied natural gas (LNG) to Thailand’s Gulf Group, expanding its footprint in Asia’s energy market. The multi-year sales and purchase agreement (SPA) will see ADNOC Trading deliver approximately 2 million tonnes of LNG starting in 2027. This follows an earlier partnership between the two companies established in 2025, reinforcing ADNOC’s strategy to strengthen its global LNG marketing and trading platform.
Nasser Al Muhairi, Acting CEO of ADNOC Downstream Industry, Marketing & Trading, emphasized the agreement’s role in ensuring reliable energy supplies to Thailand. He noted that the deal marks another milestone in ADNOC’s efforts to enhance the scale and flexibility of its LNG solutions to meet growing global demand.
Sarath Ratanavadi, CEO of Gulf Development Public Company Ltd, highlighted how the agreement aligns with Gulf Group’s strategy of building a diversified and resilient LNG portfolio. By securing midstream infrastructure, shipping capacity, and relationships with leading suppliers, Gulf Group aims to strengthen its value chain and support the region’s energy transition.
