ADNOC and Gulf Group ink 2 million tonne LNG supply agreement
ADNOC has inked a multi-year agreement with Thailand’s Gulf Group to supply up to 2 million tonnes of liquefied natural gas (LNG) annually starting in 2027. The deal, brokered through ADNOC’s LNG marketing and trading platform, strengthens the company’s foothold in global energy markets and reinforces its commitment to Asian customers. Nasser Al Muhairi, Acting CEO of ADNOC Downstream Industry, Marketing & Trading, emphasized that the agreement aligns with ADNOC’s strategy to provide reliable energy supplies and expand its LNG solutions to meet rising global demand.
Gulf Group’s CEO, Sarath Ratanavadi, highlighted that the partnership supports the company’s goal of building a diversified and resilient LNG portfolio. The collaboration, which began with an initial LNG supply deal in 2025, now includes midstream infrastructure, shipping capacity, and relationships with key suppliers, ensuring flexibility and scalability to meet growing energy needs.
ADNOC’s integrated LNG marketing and trading platform, launched in July 2026, enhances the company’s flexibility and shipping options. The platform combines ADNOC’s LNG marketing and trading capabilities, positioning the company to target over 47 million tonnes per annum of marketable LNG beyond 2030. ADNOC Trading, the counterparty for LNG trading activities, operates offices in Abu Dhabi, Singapore, and Geneva, further expanding its third-party LNG portfolio.
