ADNOC and XRG have strengthened their ties with European LNG markets through agreements with RWE in Germany. The two companies are working on establishing new long-term liquefied natural gas supply arrangements, which will enable them to supply LNG to Germany and other European markets from the early 2030s.

The agreement is part of a broader package announced by ADNOC, XRG, and Masdar that could lead to more than EUR5 billion in investment across Germany's energy and industrial sectors. This investment will also see the companies investing more than EUR20 billion in Germany's energy and industrial sectors already.

ADNOC currently holds 1.6 MMtpa of long-term LNG supply agreements serving the German market, which will be expanded through this new agreement with RWE. The possible supply would come from ADNOC Gas and XRG's expanding LNG portfolios, including facilities in the UAE, the US, Mozambique, and Argentina.
