ADNOC Drilling is prepared to increase oil production capacity in the United Arab Emirates beyond its current target of 5 million barrels per day by 2027, according to company CFO Youssef Salem.

The Abu Dhabi National Oil Company's drilling subsidiary has already outpaced its accelerated capacity goals, reaching 142 deployed rigs by 2025, ahead of a previous target of 127 rigs by 2030.

ADNOC Drilling's operations have been unaffected by recent disruptions in the Gulf region due to the US-Israeli war on Iran, maintaining 98% rig availability in Q1. The company relies on land routes and a two- to three-month inventory buffer to bypass the Strait of Hormuz.
