ADNOC Expands LNG Supply Agreement with Thai Energy Giant Gulf Group
ADNOC has expanded its long-term partnership with Gulf Group, a major energy and infrastructure conglomerate in Thailand, by signing a new multi-year sales and purchase agreement (SPA) for liquefied natural gas (LNG) supplies. The deal, facilitated by ADNOC's LNG marketing and trading platform, will see ADNOC Trading deliver around 2 million tonnes of LNG to Gulf Group starting in 2027. This agreement builds on an existing relationship between the two companies, which began with their first LNG supply agreement in 2025.
Nasser Al Muhairi, Acting CEO of ADNOC Downstream Industry, Marketing & Trading, highlighted that this deal reinforces ADNOC’s commitment to providing reliable energy supplies to Thailand and its other Asian customers. He emphasized that the agreement is another milestone in ADNOC’s global LNG marketing and trading strategy, enhancing its ability to meet growing global demand with scalable and flexible LNG solutions.
Sarath Ratanavadi, CEO of Gulf Development Public Company Ltd, noted that the agreement aligns with Gulf Group’s strategy of developing a diversified and resilient LNG portfolio. By securing midstream infrastructure, shipping capacity, and partnerships with leading suppliers like ADNOC, Gulf Group aims to strengthen its value chain and meet increasing energy demand while supporting the region's energy transition.
