ADNOC to Supply 2 Million Tonnes of LNG to Thailand Starting 2027
ADNOC has signed a major multi-year agreement with Gulf Group, a leading Thai energy and infrastructure company, to supply up to 2 million tonnes of liquefied natural gas (LNG) starting in 2027. The deal, facilitated by ADNOC’s LNG marketing and trading platform, strengthens the company’s commitment to ensuring reliable energy supplies across Asia.
Under the Sales and Purchase Agreement (SPA), ADNOC Trading will deliver the LNG over a multi-year term, building on a previous agreement signed in 2025. Nasser Al Muhairi, Acting CEO of ADNOC Downstream Industry, Marketing & Trading, emphasized the importance of the deal in reinforcing ADNOC’s role as a trusted global LNG supplier.
Gulf Group’s CEO, Sarath Ratanavadi, highlighted how the agreement aligns with the company’s strategy of maintaining a diversified and resilient LNG portfolio. By securing midstream infrastructure and shipping capacity, Gulf Group aims to meet growing energy demand while supporting Thailand’s energy transition.
ADNOC’s LNG marketing and trading platform, launched in 2026, is designed to enhance flexibility and shipping optionality, positioning the company among the leading global LNG players. The platform aims to target 47 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) of marketable LNG beyond 2030, further solidifying ADNOC’s presence in the international market.
