ADNOC to Supply 2 Million Tonnes of LNG to Thailand Starting 2027
Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) has secured a multi-year deal to supply nearly 2 million tonnes of liquefied natural gas (LNG) to Thailand's Gulf Group, with deliveries set to begin in 2027. The agreement was announced on Monday, marking the second LNG supply pact between the two companies after their first deal in 2025. ADNOC Trading will handle the LNG supply to Gulf Group, a major Thai energy and infrastructure firm.
Nasser Al Muhairi, acting CEO of ADNOC Downstream Industry, Marketing & Trading, highlighted that the deal strengthens the company's commitment to providing reliable energy to Thailand and other Asian customers. This agreement comes as ADNOC expands its LNG business in Asia, following the launch of its global LNG marketing and trading platform in Abu Dhabi in July.
ADNOC aims to achieve 47 million tonnes per year of marketable LNG beyond 2030 as part of its broader strategy to grow its global gas business. ADNOC Trading, with offices in Abu Dhabi, Singapore, and Geneva, manages the company's LNG trading activities.
