ADNOC to Supply 2 Million Tonnes of LNG to Thailand’s Gulf Group
Abu Dhabi National Oil Co. (ADNOC) has announced that its gas trading subsidiary has secured a long-term agreement to supply Thailand’s Gulf Group with 2 million tonnes per year (Mt/y) of liquefied natural gas (LNG). The deal, set to commence in 2027, represents a significant expansion of ADNOC’s LNG portfolio and underscores the growing demand for natural gas in Southeast Asia.
The agreement is part of ADNOC’s broader strategy to strengthen its position in the global LNG market. By targeting large-scale offtake agreements, the company aims to bolster its supply chain and meet the increasing energy needs of its international partners. The Gulf Group, a key player in Thailand’s energy sector, is looking to fortify its LNG value chain through this partnership.
This deal highlights the continued growth of Asian LNG demand, particularly in Thailand, where energy companies are seeking reliable suppliers to support economic and industrial development. The 2 Mt/y supply contract will play a crucial role in ensuring energy security for the Gulf Group and its customers.
