ADNOC to Supply Two Million Tons of LNG to Thailand’s Gulf Group
Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) has announced a significant multi-year agreement with Gulf Group, a leading energy and infrastructure company in Thailand. The deal, signed on Monday, will see ADNOC Trading Company supply approximately two million tons of liquefied natural gas (LNG) to Gulf Group over several years, with deliveries set to begin in 2027.
The agreement was finalized through ADNOC’s global platform for marketing and trading LNG, which was launched in the Abu Dhabi Global Market in July 2026. This platform aims to consolidate ADNOC’s capabilities in LNG trading and supply, enhancing its position as a reliable global gas supplier. The platform targets marketing 47 million metric tons of LNG annually after 2030.
ADNOC Trading Company has established itself as a key player in the LNG sector, with offices in Abu Dhabi, Singapore, and Geneva. Over the past four years, the company has built a substantial portfolio of LNG trading activities, becoming one of the world’s leading trading companies in this field.
The new agreement extends ADNOC’s existing partnership with Gulf Group, which began with an earlier LNG supply agreement set for 2025. ADNOC’s strategy focuses on global growth in the gas sector, leveraging its extensive experience and proven track record in direct LNG supplies to Asia.
