Agricultural Commodity Prices Rise on Smaller Crop Concerns

The agricultural commodities market has seen an uptick in prices on August 28, 2026. At around 8:30 a.m. CT, December corn was trading at $5.40¼ per bushel, up 6¾¢ from the previous session.

November soybeans and December CBOT wheat were also higher, both up 13¼¢ at $12.81¼ per bushel and $7.74 per bushel respectively. Additionally, December Kansas City wheat was 13¼¢ stronger at $8.35¼ per bushel.

Karl Setzer, partner with Consus Ag Consulting, attributed the increase to a combination of factors including smaller crop expectations in the US and global trade disruptions.
