Agricultural Markets See Mixed Results as Corn and Soybean Prices Dip
The agricultural markets are experiencing mixed results as of October 2nd. The price of December corn is down 1 1/4 cents per bushel, while November soybeans have decreased by 4 3/4 cents. In contrast, the prices for December KC wheat and December MIAX wheat are up 3/4 cent and 1 1/4 cents respectively.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 316.70 points, but the U.S. Dollar Index has dropped by 0.220. November crude oil has lost $3.78 per barrel, however December gold has increased by $20.40 per ounce.
Private exporters reported sales of 218,600 mt (8.6 mb) of corn to Mexico for the marketing years 2026/2027, 2027/2028, and 2028/2029. The prices for December live cattle are down $0.30 at $222.875, while November feeder cattle have decreased by $0.88 at $335.475.
December lean hogs have risen by $0.05 at $68.975. Bids are on the table at $226 in Kansas, but there has been no significant trade in the Southern region yet.
