Ahmedabad Gold Market Holds Steady Ahead of Navratri

The gold market in Ahmedabad is showing resilience as prices remain within striking distance of all-time domestic highs for the fifth consecutive month.

The current price of 24-karat gold in Ahmedabad stands at ₹15,890 per gram, matching major Indian markets and leaving traders questioning whether to buy now or wait for Navratri.

The World Gold Council confirmed that central bank buying continued through the first half of 2026, with institutional support evident in the futures market. MCX October gold futures closed at ₹1,59,100 per 10 grams, narrowly missing the all-time record set earlier this year.

Ahmedabad's commodity culture is attuned to the risk-reward calculation, with wholesale buyers deciding it makes sense to buy now rather than risking a higher entry point at Navratri. The dominant purchasing category for the bridal market remains 22-karat gold at ₹14,562 per gram.
