Algo Grande Copper Hits Mineralization at Cerro Grande
Algo Grande Copper Corp., (ALGR:TSX.V) has made significant progress in its Phase II drilling program at its Adelita project in Sonora, Mexico. The company's wholly-owned property, acquired through a share-based transaction last year for over CA$8 million, is now seeing results from the second hole of the 8,000-meter program.
According to recent reports, visible copper mineralization has been logged in skarn and andesitic porphyry in the second hole, with laboratory assays still pending. A second rig has arrived on site to accelerate the program, increasing the frequency of news flow. This comes at a time when global copper demand is rising due to artificial intelligence data centers, electric vehicles, and renewable energy infrastructure.
The severe storms in Chile have disrupted operations at major mines, adding near-term supply stress. Analysts forecast US$14,500 per tonne within three months and US$15,000 per tonne by year-end. Dr. Peter Megaw and director Gord Neal, both previously involved with Mag Silver, are part of the experienced management team.
