Americas Gold and Silver Beats Revenue Estimates Despite Earnings Miss
Americas Gold and Silver reported its second-quarter earnings results on Friday, missing estimates for earnings but seeing revenue jump 71% year over year due to higher realized metal prices.
The company's adjusted EBITDA improved to $12 million from an adjusted EBITDA loss of $4.1 million a year earlier, primarily driven by higher net revenue from stronger realized silver prices.
Cash and cash equivalents totaled $88.9 million as of June 30, while silver production declined year over year to 665,000 ounces due to the extended Galena Phase 2 shaft upgrade.
