Amerigo Resources Posts Record Net Income Amid Copper Price Surge
Amerigo Resources Limited reported impressive financial results for the second quarter of 2026. The company's net income surged to $18.3 million, a 144% increase from $7.5 million in the same period last year.
The growth was driven by a 52% rise in revenue to $77.4 million, supported by higher copper production and significantly stronger metal prices. Copper production rose 9% to 16.9 million pounds, with an average realized price of $6.16 per pound, up from $4.42 per pound.
The company's cash cost fell to $1.74/lb, while normalized cash cost, excluding bonuses, was $1.60/lb. Amerigo Resources returned $25.2 million to shareholders through dividends and buybacks, consuming roughly half of the quarter-end cash balance.
