A Spanish valve manufacturer has secured a major contract for an oil project in Saudi Arabia.

Ampo Poyam Valves, based in Idiazabal, Spain, will supply gate valves for the Riyas natural gas liquids (NGL) Fractionation Trains project, a key component of Aramco's strategy to expand its natural gas production and processing capabilities.

The project, which is part of the second phase of the Jafurah unconventional gas field development, will process NGLs from the Jafurah field through two parallel fractionation trains, each with a capacity of 255,000 barrels per day (BPD).

The valve package will support critical process and utility systems within the facility, requiring equipment capable of reliable performance under demanding operating conditions.
