ANRE Proposes Updates to Natural Gas Price Calculation Framework
The National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE) in Moldova has launched two draft decisions to update the methodological framework for natural gas prices and distribution tariffs. The changes aim to align the regulatory framework with new legal provisions and simplify tariff setting mechanisms.
One of the projects proposes to modify ANRE's methodology for calculating regulated prices for certain categories of consumers and public service obligations. The adjusted methodology will take into account emergency regime price adjustments, which occur quarterly.
The second project focuses on updating the methodology for calculating regulated tariffs for natural gas distribution services. The proposed changes aim to optimize administrative expenses and personnel remuneration recognition, avoiding cumulative recovery of these costs.
