Apollo Considers Sale of Energos for $3 Billion Amid XRG Interest
Apollo Global Management is considering selling its stake in Energos Infrastructure, a company that operates a fleet of liquefied natural gas (LNG) vessels. The transaction could value Energos at over $3 billion.
Energos operates 13 vessels, including nine floating storage and regasification units (FSRUs), which allow for the efficient transportation and storage of LNG. These FSRUs reduce the need for large land-based regasification terminals, which can be expensive and time-consuming to build.
XRG, the international energy investment arm of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), is reportedly considering a deal to acquire up to 50% of Energos. However, the talks are still in their early stages, and there is no guarantee that a transaction will occur.
