Aramco Creates Gas Division Amid Expansion Plans

Saudi Aramco is reorganizing its business to create a new gas division, aiming to expand in the liquefied natural gas sector.

The company plans to establish three main business segments: upstream, downstream, and gas. The new gas unit will have its own president and focus on developing domestic natural gas resources and building an LNG portfolio abroad.

Aramco is considering listing a minority stake in the gas business as one option to raise cash. This move follows the company's existing strategy of offering outside investors pieces of their businesses while retaining operational control.
