Aramco Hunts for Emergency Diesel Supply After String of Attacks
Saudi Aramco has been searching for thousands of tons of diesel in the Mediterranean after a series of attacks on its energy facilities. This pickup in activity predates last week's attack on a pipeline that feeds oil refineries on the kingdom's Red Sea coast, but coincides with reported incidents involving fuel-making plants over the past few months.
The company will sometimes buy replacement cargoes if their normal source of supply isn't available. It is unclear what specific plans Aramco has for securing this new diesel supply.
