Aramco Profits Soar 44% as War Boosts Oil Prices
Saudi Aramco has reported a significant increase in profits for the second quarter of 2026, thanks to higher oil prices caused by the ongoing war. The company's net profit rose 44% year-over-year, reaching 122.6 billion Saudi riyals (US$32.7 billion) from April to June.
This marks a substantial increase from last year's second quarter profits of 85 billion riyals (US$22.67 billion). Despite the volatile crude prices throughout the war, Aramco was able to maintain business continuity due to its diverse asset base and multi-decade planning.
Aramco president and CEO Amin H. Nasser attributed this success to the company's strategic infrastructure, including the East-West Pipeline, storage capacity, and export terminals.
