Aramco Vows to Quickly Resolve Oil Disruptions Amid Growing Attacks
Saudi Aramco's President and CEO Amin Nasser has assured that any oil interruption can be resolved 'within days', according to a report. The company is studying additional export routes, including a fourth and fifth route, in addition to its existing three primary ones.
Aramco is also considering expanding overseas storage capacity, including in Japan, to enhance its ability to withstand disruptions. This move comes as the company faces increasing attacks from Yemen's Houthi group, which has been blocking passage to Saudi ships through the Bab al-Mandeb Strait - a critical export route in the Red Sea.
The Strait of Hormuz remains largely closed due to the US-Israel war on Iran. Nasser highlighted the importance of diversifying export routes and building resilience against disruptions.
