Argent LNG Secures Federal Approval for Louisiana Terminal
Argent LNG has secured a crucial federal approval for its Louisiana terminal project. The US Department of Energy (DOE) has issued a 20-year authorization to export up to 25 MMtpy of liquefied natural gas from the proposed facility at Port Fourchon, Louisiana.
The authorization allows Argent LNG to export the equivalent of 1,293.75 Bcf of natural gas annually beginning with the project's first commercial shipments in the first quarter of 2030.
Argent LNG Chairman and CEO Jonathan Bass stated that this federal approval marks a significant regulatory milestone for the project, advancing it toward commercialization.
