Argent LNG has signed an agreement to supply liquefied natural gas (LNG) to Ukraine's state-owned Naftogaz Group. The proposed Lafourche Parish export terminal plans to distribute up to 25 million metric tons of LNG annually, marking a significant milestone for the project.

The agreement is part of Argent LNG's strategy to secure overseas customers before construction begins. In addition to Ukraine, the company has also secured supply agreements with Turkey and Bangladesh to serve European and Asian markets.

The project will use prefabricated modular units to reduce construction time by 30%, making it one of the most efficient LNG export facilities in the world. Construction is expected to begin as early as 2026, with first production anticipated by early 2030.
