Argentina's Record Corn Exports Threaten U.S. Market
Argentina has just set a new record for corn exports, shipping out a massive 5.14 million metric tons in July alone.
This achievement comes despite ongoing rain and harvest delays that have complicated logistics and slowed fieldwork.
The country's corn crop is expected to be exceptionally large this year, with estimates suggesting it will reach 70.5 million metric tons, a significant increase from the previous forecast of 68 million.
This influx of Argentine supplies could potentially put pressure on U.S. corn prices as they enter the Northern Hemisphere harvest season.
