Arizona Gas Prices Drop Amid Crude Oil Price Decline
Gas prices in Tempe and around Arizona have dropped due to a decline in crude oil prices and optimism about the Strait of Hormuz's operations. According to AAA Arizona, gas prices fell by 7 cents over the past week, settling at $4.42 a gallon.
This decrease marks a welcome relief for drivers, but Arizonans are still paying $1.19 more per gallon than they were at this point in 2025. Aldo Vazquez, spokesperson for AAA Mountain West Group, noted that gas prices tend to drop during this time of year as demand decreases and people settle into their fall routines.
Gas prices around the state also saw a decline, dropping by 9 cents to $4.36 a gallon.
