Gas prices in Arizona have continued to climb, rising 12 cents per gallon this week to $4.49 per gallon.

This increase comes as AAA Arizona reported that gas prices jumped up another 11 cents in the state, settling at an average of $4.45 a gallon.

The national average for gas prices remained flat at $4.10 a gallon this week, according to recent data from AAA Arizona.

Aldo Vazquez, spokesperson for AAA Mountain West Group, commented on the recent price hikes, saying that 'August brings some relief at the pump as road trips wind down and fall routines get underway for many families,' but noted that 'elevated crude oil prices could prevent that seasonal shift from starting just yet.'

The rising gas prices may impact consumers planning to take a road trip or daily commutes, especially those in Arizona where prices are higher than the national average.
