Gas prices in Arkansas have jumped significantly over the past week, with regular unleaded fuel averaging $3.92 per gallon, according to AAA's Weekend Gas Watch report.

This increase is attributed to continued volatility in the crude oil market, particularly in key shipping routes such as the Strait of Hormuz and Bab el-Mandeb Strait. The national average has also risen to $4.27 per gallon, a 13-cent increase from last week.

Fayetteville-Springdale-Rogers motorists are paying the highest average price at $4.03 per gallon, while Pine Bluff drivers are averaging $3.82 per gallon. Jonesboro's average price is $3.91 per gallon, up 13 cents from last week.
