Armed Group Halts Oil Production at Libya's Sharara Field
An armed group has disrupted oil production at Libya's Sharara field by shutting off a valve on the pipeline carrying crude to al-Zawiya port.
The National Oil Corporation (NOC) reported that the group closed valve 7, but did not identify those responsible for the action or specify how much production had been lost.
Sharara is one of Libya's largest oilfields and a key source of crude exports.
