Artemis Gold Inc., listed on the OTC Markets under the ticker ARGTF, has agreed to purchase Vista Gold Corp. (VGZ) through an all-share deal worth approximately US$427 million.

The acquisition involves each holder of Vista shares receiving 0.0966 shares in Artemis.

According to the analyst's model, Mt Todd is worth more at today's gold price than what Artemis is paying, but it's a long-term project with no current development.

If gold just beats inflation, the return on investment could be around 8% per year, and if gold rises by 1% faster than costs, the return would increase to about 12% per year.
