Asian Markets Rally as Oil Prices Slide
Asian markets mostly rose in early trading on Friday, boosted by the recent rally on Wall Street and lower oil prices.
The Bank of Japan's two-day monetary policy meeting to decide on interest rates had a positive impact on Japan's benchmark Nikkei 225, which gained 0.8% to 64,662.11.
South Korea's Kospi jumped 2.1% to 6,856.35, while Australia's S&P/ASX 200 rose nearly 0.1% to 8,738.50.
Brent crude oil prices slid by 0.68% to $104.11 a barrel in Asian trading, which helped ease pressure on the bond market and stocks.
The recent drop in oil prices also contributed to a decrease in yields in the bond market, with the yield on the 10-year Treasury falling to 4.93% from 5.01% late Wednesday.
