Asian Markets Trade Mixed Amid Oil Price and Bond Market Volatility
Asian markets are trading mixed in early Thursday trading as investors assess recent swings in oil prices and the US bond market.
The Nikkei 225 rose 1.3% to 65,883.41 in morning trading, while Australia's S&P/ASX 200 fell 0.7% to 8,700.50.
Energy trading saw benchmark US crude fall 0.82% to $91.40 a barrel and Brent crude lose 0.83% to $102.22 a barrel.
The price of Brent remains higher than its pre-Iran war level of around $72, causing concern that the ongoing conflict will continue to disrupt oil supplies.
