Asian Oil Imports Rise Amid Iran Conflict, but Still Lag Pre-War Levels
Asia's crude oil imports have rebounded to their highest levels since the Iran conflict began in February, but still remain 13% below pre-conflict levels.
The region imported 23.96 million barrels per day (bpd) of crude oil in September, up from 23.38 million bpd in August and the most since February, according to data compiled by Kpler.
Despite the recovery, Asia's imports are still below the pre-conflict average of 27.55 million bpd for the three months ended February.
