Stock markets in Asia showed mixed results on Tuesday after last week's tech-led volatility. The South Korean Kospi, which had fallen by around 17% in three days before surging nearly 18% on Friday and plummeting again on Monday, saw its shares fluctuate throughout the morning.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average in New York ended at an all-time high on Monday, helped by Amazon's impressive surge past $3 trillion market capitalization. This eased fears about the vast capital spending on artificial intelligence.

Elsewhere, Sydney, Singapore, Wellington, Taipei, Jakarta, and Manila rose, while Tokyo, Hong Kong, and Shanghai dipped.

Analysts are cautiously optimistic about the outlook, citing supportive earnings and continued investment in AI infrastructure. However, some remain concerned that the rebound may not be sustainable without further support from short covering.
