Asian Stocks Rally Amid Crude Oil Slump and Tech Boost
Asian stock markets traded higher on Tuesday amidst a decline in crude oil prices and gains in tech stocks.
The Shanghai Composite Index in China rose by 0.6% from its previous close of 3,889.44 to finish at 3,912.52, with trading ranging between 3,881.74 and 3,926.44.
The index has gained 1.1% over the past year.
While markets were generally positive, investors remain cautious ahead of key economic releases, including PCE-based inflation readings from the US and a speech by the Fed Chair at the Jackson Hole symposium later in the week.
