Asian Stocks Rally on Tech Demand, Oil Prices Plunge with Saudi Supply Surge
Asian stock markets are experiencing an upward trend due to robust demand for technology shares. The MSCI Asia-Pacific shares index, excluding Japan, rose by 0.7% for the sixth consecutive session. South Korea's KOSPI and Taiwan's market saw gains of 1.2% and 0.9%, respectively.
However, oil prices took a hit due to increased supply from Saudi Arabia. The country has resumed its East-West Pipeline operations and exports from Yanbu, contributing to the surplus in the market. As a result, Brent crude and U.S. crude oil prices decreased, with Brent at $99.18 per barrel and U.S. crude at $90.14 per barrel.
Market analysts are monitoring developments in Middle Eastern oil supply as it could impact oil price trends. Saudi Arabia's actions will be crucial in assessing the future of the market, along with any geopolitical tensions or economic policies affecting global oil supply and demand.
