Nigerian energy company Asiko Energy has completed its first phase of a major gas terminal project, marking a significant milestone in its plans to develop an integrated tri-fuel terminal. The fully mounded 5,500MT LPG and Propane terminal is located in Ijora, Lagos, and features five propane-rated storage tanks with a total capacity of 1,000 MT each.

The terminal's design prioritizes safety, given its location within an industrially zoned and densely populated area. It incorporates fully mounded tank technology and has direct access to coastal supply infrastructure through a dedicated underground pipeline system that connects to three jetty points at the Apapa Port.

The project is part of Asiko Energy's long-term vision to develop an integrated tri-fuel terminal capable of handling LPG, Propane, and ultimately, Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG). The next phase of the project will see the development of a 30,000 cubic meter fully contained LNG terminal, scheduled to commence in 2027.
