ASX Poised for Rebound as Tech Rally Boosts Wall Street
The Australian share market is poised to rebound on Friday, after US equities rallied sharply due to upbeat technology earnings and renewed enthusiasm for artificial intelligence-related stocks.
The ASX 200 index fell 70.9 points or 0.8% to 8,967.7 on Thursday, weighed down by concerns over oil prices and inflation. However, energy companies helped limit the decline, with Woodside Energy Group rising 0.5%, Santos adding 0.8%, and Viva Energy climbing 2.2%.
Technology stocks also outperformed, led by WiseTech Global's surge of 6.7%, while Domino's Pizza Enterprises jumped 9.1% after confirming its underlying full-year profit guidance.
