Atlantic LNG Rates Soar to Nearly $30,000 Per Day

Liquefied natural gas (LNG) shipping rates have continued to rise, reaching nearly $30,000 per day as of September 25.

This is a significant increase from just two weeks prior, when Atlantic spot LNG rates rose for the second week in a row, increasing by $4,500 to $20,000 per day on September 11. The following week, these rates continued their upward trend, rising another $5,250 to $25,250 per day.

The latest increase brings the total Atlantic LNG rate to almost $30,000 per day as of September 25, with US LNG exports experiencing a slight decline. According to the Energy Information Administration, US LNG plants sent 33 cargoes during the week ending September 23, down three shipments from the previous week.
