Azerbaijan and Slovakia Advance Gas Supply Talks

Azerbaijan and Slovakia have made progress in talks on potential gas supplies, according to Slovak Ambassador to Azerbaijan Elchin Gasimov. The discussions took place at the 2nd Azerbaijan International Investment Forum (AIIF 2026) in Baku.

Gasimov stated that he had held constructive talks with Vladimir Shimonak, State Secretary at Slovakia's Ministry of Economy, and the management of Slovak national gas company SPP on further joint projects. One such project is the supply of Azerbaijani natural gas to Slovakia.

Slovakia has previously indicated its intention to purchase approximately 1.2 billion cubic meters of Azerbaijani gas annually after 2027.
