Azerbaijan Bolsters Energy Influence with Diversified Supply Routes

Azerbaijan is solidifying its position as a major player in the global energy sector by diversifying fuel supply routes to Europe and other markets.

The country currently supplies natural gas to 16 countries around the world, with its minister of foreign affairs, Jeyhun Bayramov, highlighting Azerbaijan's role in strengthening energy security and diversifying supply routes.

Azerbaijan is also investing heavily in renewable energy sources, with plans to increase solar and wind capacity by 6 GW by 2030, aiming for renewables to account for nearly 40% of electricity production.

The country's infrastructure development, including its role as a major logistics center between Europe and Asia, has contributed to its growing energy significance.
