Azerbaijan Surpasses Russia as Turkey's Largest Pipeline Gas Supplier

Azerbaijan has surpassed Russia as Turkey's largest natural gas supplier via pipeline, according to official data. In June, Turkey imported approximately 1.01 billion cubic meters of pipeline gas from Azerbaijan.

This marks the third consecutive year that Azerbaijan has taken the top spot in June. In contrast, Russia was previously Turkey's largest pipeline natural gas supplier for the first five months of 2026.

Turkey's total natural gas imports decreased by 6.19% year-on-year in June to approximately 3.06 billion cubic meters, while natural gas consumption increased by 4.59% year-on-year to approximately 2.83 billion cubic meters.
