Azerbaijan's crude oil production has seen a slight decline in the first eight months of this year. According to data from the State Statistics Committee, the country produced 17.6925 million tonnes of crude oil and gas condensate between January and August 2026. This represents a decrease of 3.8% compared to the same period in 2025.

Breaking down the figures further, marketable oil production reached 17.6484 million tonnes, also down by 3.8% from last year's numbers. In contrast, August 2026 saw crude oil production amount to 2.1492 million tonnes, marking an 8.8% decline.

The data shows a slight drop in oil production for Azerbaijan this year, but it is worth noting that the country has been working to increase its energy output. The exact impact of these changes on the global market remains to be seen.
