Baghdad and Erbil Gold Prices Rise to 960,000 IQD Per Mithqal
Gold prices rose in Baghdad and Erbil markets on Wednesday, according to a Shafaq News survey. The selling price of 21-carat gold on Al-Nahr Street in Baghdad was 958,000 IQD per mithqal (five grams), while the buying price reached 954,000 IQD.
The same gold sold for 955,000 IQD on Tuesday. In jewelry stores, 21-carat Gulf gold was sold between 960,000 and 970,000 IQD per mithqal, while Iraqi gold sold for between 930,000 and 940,000 IQD.
In Erbil, the prices were higher: 22-carat gold was sold at 998,000 IQD per mithqal, 21-carat gold at 953,000 IQD, and 18-carat gold at 917,000 IQD.
