Baghdad and Erbil Gold Prices Soar Above 980,000 IQD
Gold prices have been on an upward trend in Baghdad and Erbil markets, according to a recent market survey by Shafaq News. On Saturday, gold prices hovered around 980,000 IQD per mithqal in both cities. In Baghdad's Al-Nahr Street, the selling price of 21-carat gold was recorded at 985,000 IQD per five grams, including Gulf, Turkish, and European varieties.
The buying price for the same gold was 981,000 IQD. The selling price for 21-carat Iraqi gold stood at 955,000 IQD, with a buying price of 951,000 IQD. In jewelry stores, the prices ranged between 985,000 and 995,000 IQD for 21-carat Gulf gold, and between 955,000 and 965,000 IQD for Iraqi gold.
In Erbil, 22-carat gold was sold at 1,025,000 IQD per mithqal, while 21-carat gold sold for 979,000 IQD. The prices of 18-carat gold in Erbil were slightly lower at 939,000 IQD.
